Due to a total of 16 locking positions and a circumference of 19.5 to 29.5 centimeters the

leg restraints can be optimally adjusted to slender and stronger ankles. This heightens safety for officers of the law. The 40 centimeter long chain has 18 chain links, is equipped with swivel joints and a connective ring in the middle and therefore effectively allowing only for small steps.

Due to these features the risk for attempts at flight can be easily and significantly be reduced. Yet walking safely is still psosible because of the swivel joints that prevent the chain from getting twisted and stiff. The O-ring in the middle has a circumference of 3 centimeters and can be used to connect the leg cuffs by ASP with a security belt or other restraints. Hereby the safety can be increased additionally.

For the protection of the arrested and fixated individual the ASP leg iron has two features to offer: Firstly, a clean and high-quality manufacturing with smooth, rounded-off edges. The risk of injuries like cuts is therefore significantly reduced. Due to the double lock system and the possibility to arrest the locks the shackles cannot be pushed tighter together respectively deeper into the locking mechanism and corpus. They cannot be pushed open or widened after the double lock is closed either. The system is activated through the matching key.
