ASP Handcuff Key Standard – Substitute Key for Safety

The ASP Handcuff Key Standard is a practical substitute key for ASP handcuffs with 1 or 3 toothed rods for models with chain and rigid versions.  

The ASP handcuff key standard is designed for long term duty use and can withstand all the rigors that come with them. Conventional handcuff keys are usually made from mild steel therefore they often bend, break or twist off. If that happens when they are inserted in a handcuff, the handcuff has to be destroyed which poses the risk for injuries to the arrested individual. The ASP handcuff key standard made from high strength stainless steel and heat treated for additional strength. The model is precision molded and has a thicker end for better grip.
