The shackles are equipped with 22 teeth each and therefore can be adjusted easily and optimally to different wrist circumferences. The shackles latch easily all the way around which allows for a quick, easy and even surprising restraining – including the restraining of aggressive and defensive individuals. The model can be as easily opened as it can be closed. It is only necessary to push a button, to open the shackles again.

The parts of the hand restraint are the same on both sides and are connected through lamellae. Due to the design they can be folded, stored and transported while saving space. The rigid shape effectively restricts the freedom of movement of arrested individuals and at the same time allows a fast and simple handling. Even when folded up the model can be carried within reach at all times.  

The shackles are connected with a strong support arm. The use respectively the application of busting tools can therefore be prevented. Due to this design the Deutsche Polizei Hand Restraint Form B cannot only be used to train putting the handcuffs on and taking them off but also to practice attempts at manipulation.
