CP-TEX: Long sleeved shirts as Protection against Protection against Upper Body and Arms

During employments security personnel, police officers and officers of the department of justice have to be prepared for attacks. If attackers use knives, broken glass or other sharp weapons – lives are potentially in danger. CP-TEX shirts offer protection against such wounds. The cut protection clothing with long sleeves consists of newly developed CP-TEX fabric and has been certified with the highest performance level EN388. Besides the protection against cuts the long-sleeve shirts offer several further advantages.

High Protection and Comfort with CP-TEX

The CP-TEX fabric – cut protection textile – consists of technical fibers. For example fiberglass, polyamide and ultrahigh molecular polyethylene. The fabric is thin but very enduring and fits like a second skin. Therefore it allows for freedom of movement in every position – which is necessary to follow and arrest suspects and not be restricted during chases.

Additionally, the long-sleeve shirt and CP-TEX offer a high wearing comfort. The soft inner lining and the seamless design reduces the risk of skin irritations. Even, if the skin gets sweaty during action and is therefore more easily irritated.  

Next to the cut protective areas the long-sleeve shirts are equipped with a combination of Dryarn®, Spandex and Coolmax®. These materials are breathable, temperature regulating and antibacterial. Therefore, the wearing comfort is heightened by the combination of materials.

Long-sleeved CP-TEX Shirts and their Suitability for work

The shirts are available in sizes M to XXL and made from CP-TEX fabric. The offer cut protection level 5 and therefore the highest level. Yet, they are no absolute guarantee and safety against injuries due to knives and other sharp objects. The safety shirts should be viewed as additional safety in combination with a uniform and other protective measures.

As discreet clothing the CP-TEX shirts can be worn under shirts and jackets without attracting attention. They are ideally suited for winter and when the arms should also be protected against cuts.
