Kubind Darby Style Type 1 - Special Collector’s Item

The Kubind Darby Style Type 1 handcuff is a replica of a historic model and therefore an interesting collector’s item and a highlight for collections. 

The Darby Style Type 1 by Kubind is a replica of a historic hand restraint and was made by hand. The handcuff consists of nickel-plated steel and therefore shows a silvery shine. The massive manufacturing shows itself in the high weight which makes the restraint heavy to the touch. Yet, this factor is not the only feature that makes the hand restraint a decorative and fully functional collectible.

History for Collectors 

For collectors of historic hand restraints the handcuff model Darby Style Type 1 is an enrichment. Due to the hand made quality, the material and detailed manufacturing the hand restraint is reliably functional. The shackles are equipped with a snap lock and therefore can be easily arrested. In order to adjust them to the circumference of the wrists, four respectively five locking positions are available. The two parts of the handcuff are connected through two chain links that are in turn connected to a swivel joint in the middle. In contrast to modern handcuffs this special detail draws attention to itself.

The handcuff Darby Style Type 1 from Kubind is available in a small and a large variation. The small version has an inner circumference of 160 to 183 millimeters, four locking positions and weighs 520 grams. The large version has a massive weight of 660 grams and measures 185 to 210 millimeters in the inner circumference.

Contents of delivery contain one key which opens the handcuff when it is turned in the lock.
